This morney we spliced the rss feed and created an upcomming rss feed. So now your able to keep informed from both sides of the event world via rss. Meaning you can see what event is coming up today or tomorrow. listing from today onward (the future), or you can see what event was recently added which could not be coming up till the next year or so. There are also numerous new feeds through out the site. User based feeds where your able to see what the user has been up to, example “cyberpunk has added new photos etc”, recent blog feeds which shows all the recent blog entries from all users.

Its been awhile since our last upgrade to our 1.5 platform. Well SURPRISE (DIGITAL CONFETTI EVERYWHERE). Yesterday marked the day of the launch of events.in876.com version 2.0. We launched the product at the emerge e-commerce expo (click for details) and here for photos.

The revamped site features a weighty list of new features all adding great value for you, whether your a promoter or a party go-er or a business event shark, whatever you are there’s a category there for you with features to make it seem as if that calendar was made specifically for your type of event interests. An email was sent to notify all registered users of the upgrades and how they should recover their passwords.

It only gets better from here on out. For the long time users thanks for the support over the past year for the newcomers welcome to events.in876.com.

Hey everyone how’s it going. Seasons greetings to one and all. I do hope your having the time of your life as we approach the big holiday that is christmas and the big event of that is known as new years day. Which events will you be attending between now and then… In doing a bit of house keeping we figured we’ld kinda of get with the seasons. in doing so we’ve modified the mastheads on events.in876.com to kind of give a more warm christmas like feel… keep active on events.in876.com and you just might be getting a call from santa with some tickets to an event or 2, so stay tuned and have a happy holidays

Today we begin a renewed push to establish our network as the top network for all things related to Jamaica (876). We kick things off with some improvements and bug fixes to our flagship product Events.in876.com.

Improvements:

• Promotional Video Support - We have created a special Youtube group for members to share videos they plan on using to promote their events. Each event is only allowed one (1) video and it can be uploaded to any flash video hosting service (Google Video, Metacafe, iFilm, Youtube) to better serve the community we would prefer you use Youtube as we can then group all videos for better organization. While browsing members will notice the TV icon beside the name of an event, clicking it will start playing the video in our lightbox.

• Event Comments - As a part of our community initiative we have included the ability to comment on events, share your thoughts about events you are planning to attend or events you know are always good, tell other members your views. ps. if you get an error saying comment too short just hit send again
  
• Planning to attend - We have included another feature for members to share with the community their intentions to attend an event. So now friends can know if any of their friends plan on attending the same event they are. It just increases the fun.

As apart of Operation Condor we will be starting an aggressive PR campaign for those who love what we are doing a link to us would be nice. For the bloggers out there feel free to mention us and help spread the word.

Its a long awaited feature. We’ve noticed that a few people have resubmited events when they made a mistake in the initial submission or if something changes and so on. Now you can edit an event if you added it but only if your a registered user. See.. There are benefits to registering. So now you dont have to worry about feeding the wrong information or adding a whole new listing.. just make a simple edit and your done.

Once you added an event you’ll see a small edit icon on the top right of the event details page. One click and your own to editing your event.

I know I know. the horror right. With the amount of projects the in876 Team seem to have You guys are tired of signing up. We anticipated that. Therefore we put in the work, and what fun it was, to enable one registration to any of the in876 sites to be a registeration for all of the sites.

Therefore tom registered to Tech.in876.com then tom can just head over to Events.in876.com and login with no problems. Simply Beautiful. Hope you all enjoy it.

So far only two sites have been enabled with the universal login feature. that is. Events.in876.com and Tech.in876.com Its just a matter of time though before deployment to the entire network.

Dont worry about it. It’ll be back. we’re working on something that We’re sure you’ll all love. It’ll kill a few repeatitive functions regarding the users in our projects. Hope you like it.

View The weather for the day, Recommend that party your friends just shouldn’t miss While your at it oh and of course don’t forget to see what movies are in theaters this week. This functionality is now available on events.in876.com. On the Today cell which is highlighted in orange you’ll notice a few icons on the top. Hover over them and you’ll see the text information for their respective functions or purpose. Click on the icon of choice. Weather, Movie info or Click the little mail within the Today cell / box and enter your name, your email and the email of up to 6 of your friends.
